Volunteering at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen has been a worthwhile experience. Working with those less fortunate has taught me to be sensitive to the needs of others. Becoming a more thoughtful person has been a good thing for me. Furthermore, the experience of volunteering at the soup kitchen has taught me to appreciate these individuals as real people with real faces, and this opportunity to serve others has also taught me to be grateful for what I have. Wise men say that we receive a lot when we give to others. I think that statement is true from my experiences at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen.
