Word Processing requires many
skills. One of the easiest introductions is the creation of a
poster, which is a combination of text and graphics. This is a skills that
can be immediately helpful when looking for an eye-catching cover to a report in
another course or a quick and easy way to announce to friends an upcoming event.
Follow the instructions in the book
or use the PowerPoint download. Both will enable you to create an
interesting document. Once you have learned the skills you will move on to
more challenging tasks. Don't get so caught up trying to be artistic that
you miss the deadline! Try to have this assignment done early in case you need
help from our lab assistants in attaching your files.
For full credit, this program is due
midnight, Oct 10, according to the PJC time stamp on emails. Computer
ISPs vary so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to turn it in. You
will have a "catch up week." Any Word homework turned in during this week
will have a 10% penalty. No Word homework will be accepted after catch up
week.
